Domaine Rapet Pernand Vergelesses Blanc "Les Combottes" 2021, 750ml
The vines, planted in the early 2000s, are on steep, south-west facing parcels. The soil is white, marly, and fairly light, with short rows and ditches to limit erosion.
The name "Combottes" is derived from "combe," referring to the valley-like character of the parcel.
The grapes are pressed using a pneumatic press for two hours. After settling at low temperatures for 24 hours, the juice is moved to barrels, with 30% being new, for fermentation. The wine ages on lees with stirring and is bottled after 12 months.
Tasting Note
Beautiful color with golden nuances, it is fresh, lively and elegant. It gives off a fine nose of fresh fruit, notes of spices as well as traces of honey and flint when it matures. Between 3 and 5 years, it is in its best period.
