Chateau de Chamirey Mercurey "En Pierrelet" Blanc 2019, 750ml
This cuvée comes from two 'En Pierrelet' plots planted in 1990, located behind Château de Chamirey, covering just 1 hectare in the heart of the vineyard. Planted in clay and limestone soils with a predominance of limestone and a high concentration of small white stones on the surface. The vineyard faces south-east.
Fermentation and aging occur in 400-liter barrels for 11 months, followed by three months in stainless steel tanks. Lightly toasted French oak, mainly from Allier, and Vosges forests, is used. Malolactic fermentation is completed 100%.
Tasting Note:
Shinny golden colour with green reflects. The nose is chiseled, floral and supported by citruses aromas The nose develops scents of white-flesh fruits: peaches, pears. It shows as well some flint stone notes. In the mouth, the wine is quite ample and well-balanced, ending on a persistent sensation of freshness.
