Domaine des Berthiers "Saint Andelain" Pouilly Fume 2022, 750ml

The Saint Andelain cuvée is crafted from Sauvignon Blanc vineyards situated in Silex Soil around the village. The grapes are picked at full ripeness, gently pressed, undergo cold stabilization for 8 days, and ferment at low temperatures. Following this, the wine matures for 6 months on its lees before being bottled.

The Saint Andelain village cuvée sets a standard in the Pouilly Fumé appellation. It exudes refined aromas of ripe citrus fruits such as lime and mandarin, as well as the smoky characteristics of the Silex terroir, resulting in a harmonious and steely balance. The chiseled acidity of Silex pairs elegantly with the flavors of blackcurrant, mango, and lemon, reminiscent of a lively and graceful ballet on the palate. This wine truly reflects the noble essence of Blanc Fumé de Pouilly.
