Domaine Perrot Minot Chambolle Musigny "Orveaux des Bussieres" 2020, 750ml
Chambolle-Musigny “Orveaux des Bussières” 2020 is a village cuvée composed of two parcels: 60% from Les Bussières, planted in the early 1900s on marl and clay soils, and 40% from Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru La Combe d’Orveau, which features finer, siltier soils. The total surface is 0.85 hectares. Grapes were fully destemmed and fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, preceded by a cold maceration. Ageing took place over 16–18 months in 20–30% new French oak barrels, without racking, fining, or filtration, and bottled by gravity.
Tasting Note:
An exuberantly floral-suffused nose speaks of lavender, violet and lilac as well as spicy red currant scents. The gorgeously textured and refined medium weight flavors are shaped by silky fine-grained tannins on the lightly stony, balanced and lingering finish. This elegant effort is very Chambollesque in character.
