Akayane 500 Series Ginger, 500ml
Akayane Distillery is an independently owned and operated distillery located in Ei, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan.
Established in 2006, it produces artisanal spirits using locally grown Satsuma imo sweet potatoes and crystal-clear, mineral-rich groundwater from Mount Kaimondake.
The distillery utilizes both European direct-heating and Japanese indirect-heating stills for distillation, and experiments with diverse cask types for maturation, including ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, and Japanese Mizunara oak.
A clear spirit made from the combination of Shochu (distilled from sweet potato) and infused with Ginger grown in Japan organically.
The characteristic bite of ginger balances perfectly with the lemon-like aroma. Use as a secret ingredient in cocktails, or mixed with soda water, or of course with ginger ale!
