Taittinger Vintage Brut 2016, 1.5L
The Taittinger Vintage Brut 2016 is exclusively produced from first press wines, blended from 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir. The Grands Crus make up a significant proportion at 70%, while the other 30% comes from selected villages classified as Premiers Crus. Matured for 5 years in the cellar before release. Dosage 9g/l.
Tasting Note:
The 2016 vintage opens with a beautifully complex nose of hawthorn and white flowers layered with pear, kumquat, verbena, gingerbread, and a touch of mint. On the palate, it’s vibrant and fresh, with notes of honeysuckle, peach, and citrus. The finish is long and refined, marked by subtle bitterness of orange peel. This wine perfectly balances the elegance of Côte des Blancs chalky soils with the structure of Montagne de Reims Pinot Noir.
