Yoshi No Gawa Sousai Junmai, 720ml
“Sousai” means “celebration” or “festivity,” a name chosen to evoke brightness and liveliness.
Brewed by Yoshinogawa in Niigata Prefecture, this Junmai sake uses Gohyakumangoku rice polished to 65%, fermented with Mahoroba-Kaguwa yeast in stainless steel tanks, and aged briefly before release. It has 16.5% alcohol, an SMV of 0 (neutral), acidity of 1.8, and is crafted under the Echigo Toji tradition. Recommended serving temperature is chilled, around 5–10°C.
Tasting Note:
Aromas are fresh and vibrant, with notes of banana, lemon, and a hint of mint. The palate is lively and balanced, showing flavors of banana, apple, and steamed rice, supported by bright acidity and a clean finish. Overall, it is refreshing, expressive, and well-structured, ideal for festive occasions.
