Yoshi No Gawa Sparkling Sake Sakagura no Awayuki, 300ml
“Sakagura no Awayuki” translates to “light snow in the brewery,” a name chosen to evoke the soft, delicate bubbles of this sparkling sake.
Brewed by Yoshinogawa in Niigata Prefecture, this sparkling sake uses Niigata-grown rice polished to 65%, fermented with natural carbonation, and lightly pasteurized. It has 7.5% alcohol, an SMV of -44 (very sweet), acidity of 2.0, and is crafted under the Echigo Toji tradition. Recommended serving temperature is well-chilled, around 5°C.
Tasting Note:
The nose is bright and creamy, with aromas of yogurt, honey, and Asian pear. On the palate, it is soft and airy, showing flavors of cotton candy, ramune, and meringue, balanced by gentle acidity. Overall, it is light, sweet, and refreshing, with a delicate mousse and a clean finish.
