L'Heritier Guyot Creme de Cassis de Dijon, 700ml
Produced in Dijon by L’Héritier-Guyot, founded in 1845, Crème de Cassis de Dijon is a fruit liqueur made exclusively from blackcurrants grown in the Côte d’Or. The estate cultivates Blackdown and Noir de Bourgogne varieties, known for their aromatic intensity. The fruit is macerated in alcohol for a minimum of six weeks, followed by a second maceration and cold sugaring, a technique developed by Louis-Baptiste L’Héritier to preserve freshness and avoid jam-like textures. The entire production process, including racking and infusion, takes place in Dijon under strict geographical indication rules. The liqueur is bottled at 15% ABV.
Tasting Note:
The nose is full and aromatic, showing ripe blackcurrant, floral lift, and subtle spice. The palate is mouthwatering and concentrated, with rich fruit sweetness balanced by a gentle bitter-spice edge. The finish is persistent and vibrant, with lingering berry notes and a refined texture. The profile is expressive and harmonious, offering clarity and depth in a fruit-driven style.
