Domaine Guy Amiot Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Baudines" 2021, 750ml

100% Chardonnay grown on a 0.12 hectare parcel in the Premier Cru "Les Baudines", located high on the hillside at the southern edge of Chassagne-Montrachet near Santenay. The vineyard faces east and is planted on clay-limestone soils with 20-year-old vines. Grapes were manually harvested and gently crushed, followed by fermentation in French oak barrels, 30% of which were new. The wine underwent bâtonnage and natural malolactic fermentation at cellar temperature (13–14°C), then aged for 12 months in barrel of which 30% are new, followed by an additional 6 months in tank before bottling.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of white peach, citrus, and subtle spice. The palate is textured and mineral, with fine acidity and a long, elegant finish. Overall, the wine is refined and expressive, showcasing the altitude and tension of this cooler 1er Cru.
