Frangelico Liqueur, 700ml
Legend traces Frangelico's origins over 300 years back to Christian monks residing in the Piedmont hills of northern Italy. Proficient in distillation, they crafted liquor recipes using wild hazelnuts and other prized ingredients, inspiring the creation of Frangelico as we know it today. Its name, Frangelico, is believed to stem from Fra' Angelico, a hermit monk said to have dwelled in the Piedmont hills during the 18th century.
The hazelnuts are harvested, toasted, and infused in alcohol. After distillation, the hazelnut distillate is mixed with cocoa, vanilla, coffee, and other flavors to make Frangelico. Finally, it's blended with alcohol, sugar, and water, then aged for 6-8 weeks.
Nose: Intense hazelnut aromas.
Palate: Rich texture. Pronounced but delicate hazelnut flavor with hints of vanilla and dark chocolate. Smooth, long finish with fragrant back-note.
