Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot Montagny 1er Cru Blanc 2021, 750ml

100% Chardonnay sourced from a long-established grower in the Côte Chalonnaise, with fermentation and ageing carried out at the domaine in Pommard. The juice was whole-bunch pressed and fermented in 350-litre French oak barrels, 25% of which were new, followed by full malolactic fermentation and ageing on fine lees for 11 months with regular bâtonnage every 7 to 10 days.

Tasting Note:

On the nose, it shows floral notes, lemon curd, and marmalade. The palate is textured and balanced, with subtle oak integration, mineral tension, and a touch of bitterness that extends the finish. Overall, it’s a refined and expressive Montagny with restrained richness and precise structure.
