Chateau de Laubade Bas Armagnac Millesime 1986, 750ml
HK$2,250
Founded in 1870 and passed down through generations, Chateau de Laubade remains a family-owned estate helmed by the third generation of Lesgourgues â Denis, Jeanne, and Arnaud. Their 105-hectare vineyard, nestled in the heart of Bas Armagnac, thrives amidst the Pyrenees, where sustainable practices nurture vines for exceptional Armagnac.
The aroma gives off buttery/fat scents of roast pork and cream. The palate entry is assertive, moderately chewy and nutty; the midpalate stage owns a keen astringency that undercuts much of the pleasing fat nuttiness found in the entry. Concludes uninteresting, totally dry and only mildly nutty.
