Hartford Court Pinot Noir 2019, 750ml

The Hartford Court Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is sourced from a collection of small vineyards throughout the Russian River Valley AVA, including Estate properties like Arrendell, Barbieri, Bellflower, Fog Dance, Hailey’s Block, Jennifer’s, and MacLean’s Block, as well as neighboring vineyards. These sites capture the essence of the region, showcasing the best of each neighborhood.

The grapes are hand harvested at night with hand sorted of clusters and berries, pre-fermentation cold soak, indigenous yeast fermentations in small open-top fermenters, and aging for 8 months in French oak barrels (27% new). The wine undergoes no fining or filtration.

Tasting Note

Aromas of black cherry, blueberry, black currant, allspice, and loam are followed by flavors of wild raspberries, dark berries, and a crushed rock minerality. The dense entry is followed by a sweet and juicy mouthfeel, supported by acidity, silky tannins, and a subtle earthy finish.
