Thibault Liger Belair Successeurs Savigny les Beaune "Clos du Village" Blanc 2022 , 750ml
is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Produced since the 2017 vintage, this cuvée comes from the west side of Savigny in the Lieu-dit called “Le Village.” It’s a small, 0.2-hectare plot surrounded by a wall.
The east/south-west facing plots are established on a hilltop above the 1er Cru 'Clos du Roi.' The soil is a mix of clay, limestone, and sand, deep and well-draining.
The grapes are harvested manually and undergo a long press of three hours. Fermentation occurs in oak barrels, with no filtration and light fining using bentonite. Aged in oak barrels (no new barrels) for a period of 15 months.
Tasting Note:
Aromas of white peach, citrus, apple and subtle hazelnut on the nose. Creamy attack. Good concentration on the mid-palate with balanced acidity and mineral notes. The finish is long and composed.
Region: Savigny Les Beaune
Variety: Chardonnay
Rating: Jasper Morris 89-91
