Thibault Liger Belair Successeurs Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru "Aux Charmes" 2020, 750ml

This 0.30-hectare plot, planted in 1946, is situated in the upper part of the Charmes Chambertin plot known as “Aux Charmes,” near the border between Latricières Chambertin and Chambertin.

The upper slope features rocks of Bathonian origin, while the lower slope consists of marls and limestones from the Jurassic (Bajocian) period, with numerous marine fossils.

The grapes are harvested manually, with 70% whole clusters used. Fermentation lasts for three weeks with very light extraction. The wine is aged for 20 months in 50% new oak barrels.

Tasting Note:

This vintage offers a floral and fragrant bouquet. It is medium-bodied with fine, earthy tannins on the finish.
