Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits St Georges 1er Cru "Clos des Porrets St Georges" 2022, 750ml

This 100% Pinot Noir is sourced from the 3.57-hectare monopole vineyard of Clos des Porrets St-Georges, situated on pink limestone scree with clay-rich soils on lower slopes. The grapes were 100% destemmed and fermented with native yeasts in temperature-controlled concrete vats. The wine aged in French oak barrels (20% new oak) for approximately 18 months before bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with aromas of dark raspberry, wild blackberry, black cherry, and crushed flint minerality, complemented by subtle undertones of forest floor, iron, and light oak spice. The palate is rich, fleshy, and well-structured, featuring deep dark berry fruit balanced by fine-grained, integrated tannins and fresh acidity. The finish is long, firm, and persistent, leaving savory, earthy, and spicy notes.
