Domaine Lignier Michelot Fixin 1er Cru "Les Arvelets" 2016, 750ml

Only 900 bottles are produced each year Les Arvelets is a very chalky, cold terroir.

It is a blend of old vines (50 to 60 years old) and younger vines (30 years old), 50% of which are vinified as whole clusters. This 1er Cru of Fixin produces straightforward, lively wines with a rich minerality.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of redcurrant, iron, tobacco and mocha, plus a hint of leather . Nicely sweet in the middle palate, then minerally and firmly tannic on the back half, even a bit austere, finishing with good vinosity and a note of blond tobacco.
