Domaine Lignier Michelot Morey St Denis 1er Cru "Les Chenevery" 2018, 750ml

This 37 are parcel lies below Les Faconnières. Part of it is in the village appellation and part in the 1er Cru. The limestone, which is very present in the soil, gives this wine a very mineral character. Made with 50% whole clusters, this small cuvée of 1,400 bottles comes from a fairly young (45 years old) but very mature vineyard. The result is a floral nose and a lovely salinity on the palate, all subtlety and elegance.

Tasting Note:

The bouquet has opened nicely with blackberry, briary and light estuarine scents. The palate feels elegant, long and refined, maybe more so than I envisaged, with a harmonious and silky, almost Chambolle-like finish.
