Domaine Chevillon Chezeaux Nuits St Georges 1er Cru "Les Saint-Georges" 2022, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from 0.45 ha from a single parcel of the 1er Cru Les Saint Georges at 245 to 260m of altitude. Planted in brown limestone soil, and pink limestone from Premeaux. Age of the vines: 70 years old.

The grapes are 100% destemmed and lightly crushed, followed by a pre-fermentation, cold maceration of 7 days, and fermentation with punch downs and pump overs. The wine is pressed and transferred to barrels by gravity, and ages for 16 months in 20% new oak barrels.

Tasting Note:

The deep colour announces the aromatic complexity dominated by the purity of the fruit which evolves towards notes of toasted coffee, spices, mixed with gentle animal nuances: musk, fur. The rich, complex structure combines power and elegance. Very good ageing potential for 8/15 years.
