Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut 2013, 750ml

100% Chardonnay from the 5 Grands Crus villages from the Cote de Blancs (Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Oger, Mesnil-sur-Oger).

5% of the blend is aged in new oak barrels to create the very delicate balance of toasted notes in the final wine. Aged for 10 years on its lees before release. Dosage 9g/l.

Tasting Note:

Nervy and tight with notes of crushed almonds, chalk, white grapefruit, digestive biscuits, lemons and apricot stones. Hints of fennel and white pepper. Deep and mineral, with plenty of power. Very fine bubbles. Long drive at the end.
