Graham's "Quinta dos Malvedos" Vintage Port 2010, 375ml

Quinta dos Malvedos is located in the Upper Douro on the north bank of the Douro River near Tua with south-facing slopes at 130 to 350 meters altitude on schist soil.

The 2010 Graham's Quinta dos Malvedos Vintage Port is a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Barroca. It was hand-picked and destemmed, fermented with indigenous yeasts for about two days before fortification with grape spirit to 20% alcohol with residual sugar of 96 g/L, and aged in wooden vats for about 18 months.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of ripe black plum and blackberry juice, complemented by mint and eucalyptus, cloves, and dark chocolate. Palate has a great balance between freshness, residual sugar, and tannins that are ripe and firm. Overall this 2010 has generous structure, loads of ripe black fruits, and it was built to age.
