Blandy's Bual Vintage Madeira 1972, 750ml
This is a single-harvest Madeira wine made from 100% Bual grapes, aged for 50 years in seasoned American oak casks using the traditional Canteiro method. The wine began its ageing in the warm attic floors of Blandy’s Wine Lodge in Funchal and was gradually moved to cooler, north-facing floors to balance concentration and freshness. It has 115 g/L residual sugar and 9.2 g/L total acidity, with 20% alcohol.
Tasting Note:
Coppery amber with greenish golden nuance, crystalline bright. Notes of sweet spices, vanilla, dried fruits, candied fruits like apricot and exotic woods. Very rich, semi-sweet, balanced, smooth, with a very long finish.
