Chateau de Chamirey Mercurey 1er Cru "La Mission" Monopole Blanc 2020, 750ml

La Mission, a monopole of Château de Chamirey, consists of three small plots planted between 1961 and 1997. The east/south-west facing vineyard sits on a hilltop above Premier Cru 'Clos du Roi' with deep, draining soils of clay, limestone, and sand.

Fermentation and aging occur in traditional 228-liter Burgundian barrels for 14 months with 15% barrels, using lightly toasted French oak from Allier and Vosges forests. The wine spends two months in tanks and undergoes light filtration before bottling.

Tasting Note:

Beautiful and bright yellow colour with green reflects. Expressive and intense nose with fruity and spicy notes (anise, mint) and with a touch of vanilla. The wine is rich with an ample mid-palate. It shows a great balance between acidity and roundness towards a fresh finish.
