Domaine Guy Amiot Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Macherelles" 2020, 750ml

Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Macherelles" Blanc 2020 is sourced from a 0.50 ha east-facing parcel located mid-slope on the northern side of Chassagne-Montrachet, planted with 35-year-old Chardonnay vines on red clay soils with iron deposits over limestone. Grapes are manually harvested and sorted, fermented in tank with bâtonnage, and undergo spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Ageing occurs in a mix of used and new French oak barriques for 12 months, followed by 6 months of integration in tank before bottling. Approximately 25–30% new oak is used in the élevage.

Tasting Note:

Straw yellow with light green reflections. The bouquet is intense with beautiful floral and fruity notes. Rich, ample, with pulpy fruit, hints of honey and refreshing balsamic hints no the palate, supported by good acidity. The finish closes on clear mineral notes.
