Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot Montagny 1er Cru "Le Vieux Chateau" Blanc 2022, 750ml

100% Chardonnay from old vines (planted 1958-1973, 0.72ha) in the Montagny 1er Cru Le Vieux Château lieu-dit. Planted on slopes of hard oolitic limestone with very thin topsoil. The grapes are hand-harvested, pneumatically pressed, and cold settled before alcoholic fermentation in oak barrels. Malolactic completed. Aged 12 months in oak barrels using 30% new wood followed by 6 months in stainless steel.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show lemon zest and white peach along with hazelnut and chalk notes. The palate delivers medium body and tension with crisp structure and vibrant acidity. Overall impression is one of precise minerality and persistent freshness reflecting the cool limestone-driven vintage character in Côte Chalonnaise Chardonnay.
