Honig Cabernet Sauvignon 2022, 750ml

92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot, 1% Merlot, 0.5% Cabernet Franc and 0.5% Petit Sirah from the winery’s sustainably farmed vineyard in Rutherford and selected local vineyards in Napa Valley. The grapes were harvested from late August to mid-October. Each lot was fermented separately with extended skin contact (10–35 days). The wine was aged for 18 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, with 24% new French oak and 20% new American oak.

Tasting Note:

The 2022 opens with aromas of ripe blackberry, dark cherry, cassis, and warm spice with subtle vanilla and toasted oak notes. The palate is full-bodied with rich dark fruit, a supple mid-palate, integrated tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, polished finish. Powerful yet harmonious with excellent ageing potential.
