New Chapter Gruener Veltliner 2024, 750ml

This 100% Grüner Veltliner is sourced from vineyards in the Traisental region, primarily from sites featuring limestone mother rock topped with loam and loess. The grapes are de-stemmed and undergo approximately eight hours of skin contact and a cold soak prior to pressing. Fermentation began in a combination of stainless steel tanks and used oak barrels. Following fermentation, the wine remained on the fine lees for several months until bottling to enhance its textural complexity.

Tasting Note:

The nose is defined by aromas of green apple, white pepper, and a hint of smoky stone fruit. The palate shows a medium body with a precise, stony minerality, fresh acidity, and a subtle toastiness from the wood. It finishes with clean notes of citrus and savory herbs.
