Castellari Bergaglio "Rovereto" Vigna Vecchia Gavi di Gavi 2019, 750ml

This 100% Cortese is sourced from old vines in the Rovereto parcel of Gavi, planted on red, iron-rich clay soils. The fruit was hand-harvested and gently pressed before fermentation began in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using natural yeasts. The wine aged on its fine lees in stainless steel tanks for 12 months, followed by an additional 12 months of maturation in the bottle prior to release, with no oak used during production.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of white peach, crisp green apple, pear, and subtle white blossoms open on the nose, accompanied by hints of crushed stone. The palate is medium-bodied and structured, showing a dense texture balanced by clean, citrus-driven acidity. The finish is dry, sharp, and persistent, with saline mineral notes.
