Domaine Andre Brunel Cote du Rhone "Sommelongue" 2023, 750ml

Sommelongue is produced from a single plot north of Orange, with ideal sunshine and well-drained clay and calcareous soils. Managed ground cover ensures moderate yields and balanced wines. The wine undergoes vinification in stainless steel tanks, with 80% of the grapes destemmed. It matures for 6 months in stainless steel. The blend consists of 80% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, and 10% Syrah. The vines have an average age of 40 years, contributing to the wine's depth and character.

Tasting Note:

This wine is great when young to really enjoy the ever-present red fruits or is good after several years when the more complex aromas of leather, jammy fruits and undergrowth have appeared.
