Domaine Bernard Gripa Saint Joseph Rouge 2023, 750ml

100% Syrah, this wine is primarily sourced from vines planted in Tournon, averaging 40 years in age.

The grapes undergo a three-day cold soak before being foot-trodden in open wooden fermenting vats at the start of fermentation with 25% whole cluster. The wine is aged in a combination of new to ten-year-old demi-muids (60%) and barriques (40%), for 9 to 12 months before bottling and rests in the bottle for an additional 6 months before being released for sale.

Tasting Note:

Fresh aromas of blackberry and raspberry. It has a soft and silky style, very juicy, with good acidity and a freshness that makes it ready to enjoy. This wine is a delicate but classic expression of Saint-Joseph, with very fine tannins.
