Domaine Guy Amiot Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos St Jean" Rouge 2021, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from old vines (average 60+ years) in the 1.36ha Premier Cru Clos Saint-Jean lieu-dit in Chassagne-Montrachet on red clay over limestone soils. The grapes are hand-harvested, fully destemmed, cold macerated for 5-7 days, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts followed by 15-18 days total cuvaison. Aged 14-16 months in oak barrels using 30% new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show red cherry and strawberry along with earth and subtle floral notes. The palate delivers medium body and finesse with silky tannic structure and lively acidity. Overall impression is one of refined elegance and persistent clarity reflecting the fresh vintage character in Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir.
