Domaine Guy Amiot Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos St Jean" Rouge 2020, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir from old vines (average 60+ years) in the 1.36ha Premier Cru Clos Saint-Jean lieu-dit in Chassagne-Montrachet on red clay over limestone soils. The grapes are hand-harvested, fully destemmed, cold macerated for 5-7 days, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts followed by 15-18 days total cuvaison. Aged 14-16 months in oak barrels using 30% new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show black cherry and dark raspberry along with earth and subtle spice notes. The palate delivers richness and medium-full body with velvety tannic structure and fresh acidity. Overall impression is one of concentrated depth and persistent elegance reflecting the ripe yet balanced vintage character in Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir.
