Domaine Guy Amiot & Fils Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Champgains" 2022, 750ml

100% Chardonnay from old vines (average over 50 years) in the 0.92ha Premier Cru Les Champgains lieu-dit in Chassagne-Montrachet on mid-slope east-facing marly limestone soils with good drainage. The grapes are hand-harvested, pneumatically pressed whole cluster, and cold settled before alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in oak barrels. Malolactic completed. Aged 14-16 months in oak barrels using 30% new wood.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show ripe lemon and yellow apple along with hazelnut and chalk notes. The palate delivers medium-full body and concentration with creamy texture and fresh acidity. Overall impression is one of balanced richness and persistent minerality reflecting the sunny harmonious vintage character in Côte de Beaune Chardonnay.
