Domaine Guy Amiot Beaune "Longbois" Rouge 2020, 750ml

Beaune "Longbois" Rouge 2020 is sourced from a 0.25 ha east-facing parcel planted in the woods west of Beaune, added to the domaine in 2014. The 80-year-old Pinot Noir vines grow on clay and limestone soils and have been carefully revitalized to express the full potential of the site. Grapes are fully destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts, followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, with 20% new oak used, then assembled in tank before bottling.

Tasting Note:

Smooth and fresh, from a plot of 80-year-old vines, this wine has a bright intensity that is very appealing. Smooth plums and dark cassis fruits provide a nice round finish.
