Domaine Jean Marc Boillot Beaune 1er Cru "Epenottes" 2020, 750ml is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
This 100% Pinot Noir is sourced from the 1er CruLes Epenottes in Beaune, situated at the southern boundary of the appellation adjoining Pommard on clay-limestone soils. The grapes were destemmed and fermented in temperature-controlled vats, followed by aging in French oak barrels (approx. 25% to 30% new oak) for 13 to 15 months before bottling.
Tasting Note:
The wine opens with appealing aromas of ripe black cherry, dark plum, and red berry fruit, with notes of pipe tobacco, subtle spice, and earthy undergrowth. The palate is round and textured, displaying generous dark fruit flavors framed by supple, well-integrated tannins and lively, refreshing acidity. The finish is smooth, persistent, and classic, ending on subtle stony and savory notes.
