Domaine Rapet Corton Pougets Grand Cru 2020, 750ml

The vineyard, located at 250-300 meters altitude, forms an amphitheater with a unique southern exposure. The terroir of Corton Pougets perfectly represents the Jurassic Oxford.

Les Pougets is a climat of the Corton Grand Cru appellation, although primarily known for red wines from Pinot Noir, about 5% of Corton wines are pure Chardonnay, sold as Corton Blanc.

Fermentation lasts 15 days with punch downs, allowing the wine to soak up the richness and color from the grape skins before pressing. The wine ages in 20% new oak barrels.

Tasting Note:

The result is a symphony of ripe red and black fruit flavour profiles, finely-grained tannins, and a compellingly complex finish revealing subtle veins of earth and mineral notes.
