Domaine Jean Charles Rion Echezeaux Grand Cru 2022, 750ml

This 100% Pinot Noir is sourced from old-vine plots within the Échezeaux Grand Cru appellation in Flagey-Échezeaux. The grapes were fully destemmed and underwent temperature-controlled fermentation with native yeasts. The wine aged in French oak barrels (approx. 50% to 70% new oak) for 15 months before resting in stainless steel prior to bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with aromas of ripe dark cherry, wild raspberry, violet floral perfume, and exotic Asian spices, backed by integrated oak toast, graphite, and subtle forest floor. The palate is full-bodied, supple, and refined, offering a concentrated core of red and dark berry fruit, velvety tannins and lively acidity. The finish is long, complex, and harmonious, leaving mineral drive and spicy dark fruit notes.
