Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits St Georges 1er Cru "Les St Georges" 2021, 750ml

This 100% Pinot Noir is sourced from the famed 1er Cru vineyard of Les Saint Georges in Nuits St Georges, planted on deep clay-limestone soils mixed with gravel scree. The grapes were 100% destemmed and fermented with native yeasts in temperature-controlled concrete vats. The wine aged in French oak barrels (approx. 20% to 25% new oak) for 18 months before bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with refined aromas of red and black cherries, wild berries, dark floral tones, and subtle bonfire, accompanied by hints of liquorice, coffee bean, and light oak spice. The palate is pure, full-bodied, and remarkably deep, presenting vibrant dark berry fruit anchored by fine-grained, chalky tannins and superb mineral drive. The finish is long, complex, and extremely precise, closing on lingering mineral and dark earth notes.
