Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits St Georges 1er Cru "Les Pruliers" 2023, 750ml

This 100% Pinot Noir is sourced from the 1er Cru vineyard of Les Pruliers in Nuits StGeorges, planted on deep clay-limestone soils over gravel scree. The grapes were 100% destemmed and fermented with native yeasts in temperature-controlled concrete vats. The wine aged in French oak barrels (approx. 20% new oak) for 18 months before bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with aromas of dark cherry, wild raspberry, and plum, mixed with notes of crushed rocks, licorice, and floral. The palate is medium-to-full-bodied, rich, and energetic, featuring concentrated dark red and black fruit balanced by chalky, structured tannins and vibrant acidity. The finish is long, intense, and persistent, closing on a classic savory and mineral note.
