Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits St Georges 2023, 750ml

This 100% Pinot Noir is sourced from multiple village-level parcels across the Nuits St Georges appellation, planted on steep clay-limestone soils. The grapes were 100% destemmed and fermented with native yeasts in temperature-controlled concrete vats. The wine aged in French oak barrels (approx. 15% to 20% new oak) for approximately 18 months before bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with lively aromas of fresh red cherries, wild raspberries, crushed dark berries, and subtle notes of floral violet, subtle earth, and light spice. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh, and energetic, offering vibrant red fruit flavors anchored by supple, fine-grained tannins and a crisp mineral line. The finish is clean, balanced, and persistent, leaving a bright berry fruit and classic stony minerality.
