Domaine Jean Tardy Nuits St Georges 1er Cru "Aux Argillas" 2018, 750ml

100% Pinot Noir grown in a 0.39-hectare parcel planted in 1969 and 1973, with clay-limestone soils and a north-south orientation. The grapes were fully destemmed, with 65% whole berries retained, and fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks using minimal punch-downs. The wine was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, split evenly between new and one-year-old wood, and racked once before bottling.

Tasting Note:

On the nose, it shows dark berry fruit, loam, and a faint marine note. The palate is medium-bodied, with grainy tannins, fresh acidity, and a persistent, slightly creamy finish. Overall, it’s a structured and mineral-driven Nuits-Saint-Georges that reflects the ripeness of the vintage and the depth of its terroir.
