Lucien Crochet Sancerre Blanc 2023, 750ml

100% Sauvignon Blanc from old vines in multiple parcels across Bué, Sancerre, and Chavignol on Kimmeridgian marl (terres blanches), silex, and caillottes limestone soils. The grapes are hand-harvested, pneumatically pressed with strict juice selection, and undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and older oak casks. Malolactic completed. Aged 8-10 months on fine lees in stainless steel and used oak with regular stirring.

Tasting Note:

Aromas show grapefruit and white peach along with flint and blackcurrant leaf notes. The palate delivers intense minerality and tension with racy acidity and chalky texture. Overall impression is one of precise energy and long saline persistence reflecting the classic limestone-driven style of Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc.
