Chateau de Chamirey Mercurey "En Pierrelet" Blanc 2020, 750ml

This Chardonnay is sourced from clay-limestone soils in the En Pierrelet parcel in Mercurey. The fruit was hand harvested sorted, gently pressed, and cold-settled. Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats and oak barrels, separated by lot. The wine aged for 10 months (70% in stainless steel vats and 30% in traditional 400-liter French oak barrels, with 30% new oak), followed by 4 months of aging in vats prior to bottling.

Tasting Note:

Expressive aromas of white flowers, nutmeg, green apple, and white peach. The palate is rich and well-balanced, showing ripe stone fruit and subtle citrus flavors layered over a delicate, lightly oaky texture with soft buttery hints. The finish is clean, fresh, and persistent, with a fine saline touch.
