Chateau de Chamirey Mercurey Blanc 2021, 750ml

This 100% Chardonnay is sourced from seven distinct plots across the Mercurey appellation, planted on clay-limestone soils with a dominance of limestone. The fruit was sorted, gently pressed, and cold-settled before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and oak barrels. The wine aged for 10 months (70% in stainless steel vats and 30% in traditional 400-liter French oak barrels, with 30% new oak), followed by an additional 4 months of aging in vats prior to bottling.

Tasting Note:

Aromas of white peach, crisp green apple, lemon peel, and delicate white flowers open on the nose, complemented by subtle toasted oak and mineral notes. The palate is fresh and well-balanced, displaying vibrant stone fruit and citrus flavors with a refined, lightly creamy texture. The finish is clean, dry, and persistent, ending on a crisp mineral note.
