Domaine Matrot Maranges 1er Cru "La Fussiere" 2020, 750ml

La Fussière is the largest premier cru in Maranges, located on steep slopes between 294 and 404 meters with southern exposure over Jurassic marl and limestone scree. The wine was fermented entirely in barrel and aged for 15 months in oak with 30 percent new barrels.

Tasting Note:

The nose opens with ripe black cherry and cassis layered with baking spice, subtle oak and earthy undertones. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, vibrant acidity and a saline edge that carries through to a persistent finish. This is a precise and structured Maranges with concentrated fruit and mineral tension, approachable now yet built to age into the early 2030s.
