Domaine Matrot Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Chalumeaux" 2021, 750ml

Chardonnay planted in marly limestone soils. Grapes were hand harvested whole cluster pressed using a pneumatic press cold settled and fermented with natural yeast in temperature controlled vessels. The wine underwent complete malolactic fermentation before ageing for 12 months on lees in French oak barrels that were one to three years old with no new oak followed by a further six months maturation in stainless steel.

Tasting Note:

The nose reveals floral notes of acacia and hazelnut underlined by elegant citrus and roasted stone. The palate is medium bodied with refined texture bright orchard fruit a salivating mineral spine and a clean lingering finish. Overall it offers a precise and elegant expression of Puligny Montrachet Premier Cru Les Chalumeaux with clarity tension and finesse.
