Domaine Dupraz "Altesse" Phoenix 2022, 750ml

This 100% Altesse (also known as Roussette) is a top cuvée produced from old vines cultivated on steep, east-facing slopes at the lieu-dit Le Reposoir in Apremont, situated on clay, glacial moraine, and limestone soils. The organic fruit was gently pressed and fermented with native yeasts. The wine aged on fine lees in temperature-controlled concrete tanks and large neutral French oak barrels (demi-muids) for 12 to 18 months prior to bottling.

Tasting Note:

The wine opens with aromas of fresh white pear, ripe peach, honeysuckle, and white flowers, followed by subtle white pepper and crushed stone minerals. The palate is rich, silky, and well-structured, combining broad stone fruit flavors with a bright, crystalline mountain acidity. The finish is long, dry, and persistent, leaving notes of delicate spices, floral honey, and a clean mineral bite.
