Tullibardine 1970, 44 Year Old, 700ml
The Custodians Collection
Tullibardine 1970 is a mature, highly fragrant expression combining two sherry hogsheads, one a first fill and the other a second.
Tasting Notes:
The 1970 offers a rich hint of bees wax with fresh citrus notes of tangerine, balanced with sweet barley, hints of almonds, spice, crème brulee, baked bananas and a touch of vanilla, and is housed within a sleek bottle.
The Distillery:
Its history dates back to 1949, and its location in the village of Blackford, near the Ochil Hills in the Highlands. It is currently owned by Picard Vins & Spiritueux, a French wine and spirits company.
Under the Picard ownership Tullibardine often experiments with cask finishes, including wine casks from Burgundy, Chateauneuf du Pape, Sauternes among others.
