This 1978 Benromach vintage is a rare single-cask (#2608) whisky, aged for over 40 years in a refill sherry hogshead. Only 184 bottles were produced.

Benromach distillery in Speyside was built in the 19th century, and after changing owners, it was eventually bought by Gordon & MacPhail, who rebuilt it from scratch and turned it into a well-regarded and widely distributed single malt.

Aromas: ginger, ripe orchard fruits, honey, vanilla, lime and butterscotch.

Palate: baking spices, light peat smoke, pear, kiwi and chocolate.
